Level 5 represents the stage where Taijiquan becomes a complete system. The practitioner no longer trains separate elements, but integrates forms (套路 – Tàolù), weapons (器械 – Qìxiè), Qi Gong (氣功 – Qìgōng), and internal principles into one unified method. This level introduces advanced training in both open-hand and weapons Tao Lu: Yang 85 Form (杨氏85式太极拳): deep refinement of structure, rhythm, and internal connection Yang 56 Sword (五十六式太極劍): extension of intent (意 – Yì) through the blade ⚔️ Yang 13 Spear (十三大槍): development of long-range power and explosive issuing In parallel, internal cultivation is strengthened through Dao Yin Yang Sheng Gong (導引養生功十二法) and Shi Er Duan Jin (十二段錦), reinforcing the circulation of Qi (氣 – Qì) and supporting full-body integration. At this stage, the practitioner must clearly embody the classical framework of the Thirteen Taiji Dynamics (十三勢 – Shísān Shì), composed of: Ba Fa (八法 – Eight Methods): 掤, 捋, 擠, 按, 採, 挒, 肘, 靠 Wu Bu (五步 – Five Steps): forward, backward, left, right, center These are no longer theoretical, but expressed naturally in movement. The coordination of the Three Dantians (三丹田 – Sān Dāntián) becomes continuous and alive: Lower Dantian anchors and initiates 🌱 Middle Dantian regulates breath and internal pressure 💨 Upper Dantian directs intent with precision 🧠 Through correct pelvic alignment and integration (天圓 – Tiānyuán), the body remains connected as one unit, allowing Qi to sink (氣沉丹田) and circulate freely 🔗 Purpose of the Training The purpose of Level 5 is full integration. The practitioner learns to: Unite internal and external training (內外合一) Express Fa Jing (發勁) with control and timing ⚡ Apply the principle “Yi leads Qi, Qi leads the body” (意領氣,氣領身) Maintain awareness of centerline (中心 – Zhōngxīn) in all movement At this level, practice becomes natural (自然 – Zìrán), without forced effort.
